Apparently, Adele’s not one for interruptions.

Accepting an award at Tuesday’s Brit Awards, the singer, 23, was cut off by the show’s host because the event was running short on time, prompting her to throw up a middle finger in anger — and getting a chorus of boos from those at London’s O2 Arena in the process.

The Rolling in the Deep singer, whose full name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, said “I am so proud to be British and to be flying the flag,” prior to throwing up the obscene gesture after she was yanked due to time.

She later clarified her stance, telling the BBC: “I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I’m sorry if I offended anyone, but the suits offended me.”

Award show officials issued the following statement Wednesday: “We regret this happened and we send our deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short this evening due to the live show over-running.

“We don’t want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning our night’s biggest award. It tops off what’s been an incredible year for her.”

As we previously reported, the singer swept the six categories she was nominated in at this month’s 54th annual Grammy Awards, including album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year for her second album, 21. The six wins tied her with Beyonce for the most ever by a female act in a single year.

Chris Brown‘s current girlfriend, aspiring model Karrueche Tran, isn’t bothered by the amount of time the Grammy award winning singer is spending with his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, because the two have an open relationship, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

As we’ve previously reported Brown and RiRi have collaborated on two remixed singles — of her song Birthday Cake and his Turn Up the Music –  just three years after he brutally beat her following a pre-Grammy party in Hanc**k Park, a suburb of Los Angeles.

Brown’s first line in Birthday Cake?

“Girl I wanna f*** you right now. Been a long time, I’ve been missing your body,” the R&B hit-maker sings.

Those lyrics might be cause for concern for the current lady in Brown’s life, Karreuche Tran, but our source says she doesn’t give it a second thought.

“Karrueche isn’t stupid, and she has told friends that they have an open relationship. She never asks him about Rihanna, ever. Chris will take several days to call her back at times, and that is OK with Karreuche. She doesn’t pressure or hound Chris, it’s just not what she is about. She recognizes that they are both young, and she isn’t going to let the fact Chris is spending time with his ex-girlfriend come between what they have,” a source close to the situation tells us.

Surf’s Up For Super-Sexy Rihanna

It was only three years ago that Brown was arrested and charged with felony battery on Rihanna, the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards. RiRi requested that the restraining order be modified that had been in place since Brown pleaded no contest to the battery charge.

The Barbadian beauty and Brown have been hooking up but aren’t planning a reconciliation.

“They have probably hooked up no more than half a dozen times in the past year. It’s very unlikely that Rihanna and Chris would ever get back together though,” an insider told us.

“Rihanna doesn’t care if she were to get public backlash if they were to reconcile, she is the one calling the shots now, which she likes. Rihanna knows that if they were to get back together, she wouldn’t be able to maintain that strong role, and Chris would lose interest. They are both very young, and Rihanna would never be able to trust Chris because he has problems staying faithful.”

Karreuche and Brown were recently spotted in Miami, and she “is clearly enjoying the attention and notoriety she is getting being his girlfriend,” the source says.
